You have obviously never read or listened to the intellectual giant that was Christopher Hitchens. If you have not heard his scathing and insightful attacks on theism you should check out some of his online debates.
I love watching his debates with religious apologists. And I respect the fact that the people who debate him are not claiming 'offense' at the drop of a hat at everything he says. They debate. Unlike a lot of the faint hearted here who want to preach unchallenged. I have a lot of respect for speakers like Danesh D'souza (a christian apologist) because of his debating skill. I rarely agree with what he says, but I respect the fact that he is willing to debate his beliefs and ideas, and not whinge about manners.
I find it fascinating that people who demand respect for their beliefs and manners....do not respect others rights to speak how they wish and want to control them and label them as arrogant, bigots etc and want to control what they say, and how they say it. And yet, the people who speak as they wish and challenge ideas would defend your right to preach.

Yes...from all directions...atheists...believers...all sorts. I think the BIG difference is how these comments are received. Some people let them pass...and some people point them out and make a BIG deal out of them. So sometimes it SEEMS as though it is only believers that are on the receiving end of sarcasim. This isn't true. It is just pointed out more. Some people just have very touchy offense buttons. And have to let everyone know whenever it happens to them.

Now you mention it...that is what seems to be happening on that christian forum. Seeking to destroy each others beliefs because THEY are all right in their different beliefs. But pretending to be loving and agreeing to disagree. This however isn't the reality, because the same disagreements keep coming up over and over again, until they stop agreeing to disagree and actually address the issues.
Locking people up for blasphemy because THEY are right. THEY are the ones seeking to destroy.
And I would have to say that when I was a believer...I would have been MORE offended by someone calling me a 'tool of darkness' ie satan. Than being called deluded or a moron. I could dismiss those comments as them being ignorant, but the accustation of being a 'tool of darkness', I would have been VERY upset about.

Spritual preople NEVER preach best. Because even if I think you are a nice person I will never put it down to belief in an invisible god. I will put it down to you being a nice person regardless of what belief you hold. Be it christian, muslim, hindu, buddhist or whatever. You being nice does not in any way verify your belief to me.
And that is such a WTS way of thinking....wives winning their husbands over without a word....LOL
It doesn't work. If we don't believe in your god...your god making an appearance or doing something tangeable will make us believe in him. Nothing you do or don't do will.
